Sorry guys for the late replies! It would be better if you have any queries to email us instead so we can be notified immediately. Thanks!
Mike: You can wipe it down with 'Renaissance Wax' or any other rust-inhibiting product. Mineral Oil should work fine and serve to re-hydrate dried-up leather to give it a richer, darker brown. Test on a small spot first. Check out http://www.knifecollectors.org They have tips on knife maintainance.
Frank: We received your email and it has been replied. Very nice SOG collection you have there!
Terry: The SOG Agency is one sexy knife! The Taiwan made SOGs are improving in quality and workmanship.
Andrew: It is quite hard to tell without pictures what knife we are looking at. I am guessing it is the one made in Taiwan. Wherever it is made, it should have either Seki Japan/Taiwan stamped on the reverse side of the blade. If your knife doesn't have that we are suspicious.
Cheers,

Can anyone help? I have an SOG Trident Bowie, mint condition, bought 2nd hand years ago but it does not have a place of manufacture on it! No SekI-Japan or Taiwan. And no evidence of removal. The white washers on the handle are two together each end and quite wide, the blade is 6 and a quarter inches long and 6mm wide near the handle. The sheath is the same design as the agency bowie as in it comes together at the bottom as a 'spear' point, not like the sheaths that come with the trident and S1 bowies these days. Stamped in the leather below the sharpening stone holder is 'SOG' and then 'LYNNWOOD,WA'. Therefore my question is where would this have been made? |

I recently bought a SOG Agency, made in Taiwan. The workmanship is fantastic, better than I could have hoped for. I have an old SOG Recon, made in Japan, and the Taiwan Agency is in no way inferior.. |

I just recently tracked down and purchased a SOG S1 and would like to know the best way to care for it. Especially the LEATHER handle. Should I keep it dry or apply a very light oil and wipe the leather down? Thank you. Mike |
