Hello. I was doing a little google search on an older knife I own--the SOG Recon. Government. It was intriguing to discover how rare this knife seems to be. I've never used mine. It's in great shape. Do you have any idea what it would be worth? I paid $100 for it, and it had been discounted from $135. (The tags are still on the box.)

Here is the page I am referencing: http://www.sogknivescollectors.com/recgovt.php

Like your site a lot! I was raised and still live in Edmonds WA. about a mile from the Lynnwood SOG headquarters. For many years in the late 80's and 90's I saw that building and was always curious about it but although I've always loved knives and guns I never stopped in or knew of SOG. This was before the Internet of course. I now collect SOG knives and have been to the store at the headquarters many times to buy, look around and have knives sharpened. I so wish I would have bought some of those early knives new back then! I want an early Trident and a SCUBA-Demo, also an S-1. I love the Bowie's that are stamped EDM. WA. My home town. I would love to know why they are stamped EDM for Edmonds (I'm assuming because the border for the two cities is a couple hundred feet from the store and there was a lot of annexing going on back then) instead of Lynnwood where they truly are located. I guess I could ask the girl if she knows next time I go in. So thanks again and keep the site going!

Do you Have any information on the Tigershark pictured with the tigerstriped S1? Also, thanks for such an informative website packed with so much valuable information. The rarity index really helps too.

Hi
I have recently bought 2 second hand SOG knives. The first is a Scuba / Demo. The brass butt base is marked: S.H.O.T. 2001 Prototype. The second is a SBR80 Recon Bowie, the base of the brass butt is marked: 001. Can anyone let me know the significance of these markings. I am after a SOG leather sheath for the Recon Bowie and a sharpening stone for the Scuba/ Demo. Thanks
